<p>A tape is disclosed. The tape includes a metallic foil, an adhesive layer laminated on one surface of the metallic foil and a protective polymeric coating laminated on an opposing second surface of the metallic foil. The protective coating comprises an anti-corrosion agent. The protective coating shields the metallic foil from corrosion and other drawbacks that can occur by environmental exposure. The tape readily can be employed as a busbar tape in photovoltaic cells to provide a cost-effective substitute for the tin-coated copper currently used there.</p> |
