The present invention provides a broadcast receiving terminal for implementing a telephone function in a standby mode, comprising: an interface unit for transceiving call connection request information to/from an external device via a communication network; a first control unit which operates in a normal mode, and processes the call connection request information via the communication network so as to perform a telephone function; and a low power-consuming second control unit which operates in a standby mode, controls the interface unit, processes the call connection request information with the external device, and enables the first control unit to operate in the normal mode so as to enable the first control unit to perform the telephone function when the call connection request information is received in the standby mode. Thus, the present invention provides the broadcast receiving terminal capable of performing a telephone function in a standby mode, thereby reducing power consumption. |
