The present invention relates to an optional service providing device and method of an Internet phone system capable of providing various optional services for a call being used in the case of using a session initiation protocol (SIP). The optional service providing device of the present invention stores information on a list of providable optional services and information on a user button for requesting provision of the optional services, and, if a call request is received from a specific Internet phone, checks whether a call-requested Internet phone is being used so as to generate a busy signal if the call-requested internet phone is being used. Furthermore, upon receiving the busy signal from a call checking unit, the optional service providing device transmits the information on the list of the optional services and the information on the user button for requesting provision of the optional services stored in a storage unit to the specific Internet phone, and performs an optional service corresponding to an optional service request message upon receiving the optional service request message from the specific Internet phone. |
