According to example embodiments, a light emitting device includes a transparent substrate, a transparent electrode on a transparent substrate, a transparent light extraction layer at least partially on the transparent electrode, a light emitting layer on the transparent electrode, and a reflective electrode on the light extraction layer and the light emitting layer. The light extraction layer and the light emitting layer may be alternately and repeatedly arranged between the transparent electrode and the reflective electrode.

1. A light emitting device, comprising:
a transparent substrate; at least one transparent electrode on the transparent substrate; a light extraction layer on at least one of the transparent substrate and the at least one transparent electrode, the light extraction layer exposing portions of one of the transparent substrate and the at least one transparent electrode; a light emitting layer on the portions of the one of the transparent substrate and the at least one transparent electrode exposed by the light extraction layer; and a reflective electrode on the light emitting layer and an entire surface of the light extraction layer that is opposite the transparent substrate.
