<p>The method involves determining desired boost pressure for operating an internal combustion engine (2) based on a motor operating point. A pressure wave supercharger (7) and a feeder are fixed with channels by rotation of a cell wheel to perform fresh air compression. Desired speed of the cell wheel is determined based on the predetermined target boost pressure. The speed of the cell wheel is set for adjusting the preset boost pressure based on sound speed of the internal combustion engine. Characteristic of fuel ratio and an engine load is determined.
