The method involves transferring a device component, which is to be cleaned to a cleaning bag (4) of a separate cleaning apparatus (3). The device component is retained in the cleaning bag and cleaned by blow-off or suction process. The cleaning process is automated, program or software controlled or regulated and performed in a production line. The cleaning process is carried out with liquid. The device component is transferred with the help of a robotic arm a robot or with the help of a device arm of a coordinate measuring device. An independent claim is also included for a blow-off and suction apparatus for cleaning a measuring device.
