PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique capable of reducing a contrast difference between when an original image is displayed and when an enlarged image enlarged from the original image is displayed in a display device performing a local dimming control on the basis of a display image.SOLUTION: A display device of the present invention includes: light emission means; a display panel; acquisition means; and control means. When an enlarged image enlarged from an original image is displayed, the acquisition means acquires a first feature amount being a feature amount of the enlarged image according to each division area, and acquires, assuming that the original image is displayed, a second feature amount being a feature amount of the original image according to each division area. The control means performs correction processing to correct the first feature amount according to each division area to reduce a difference between the first feature amount of the enlarged image displayed in a division area and the second feature amount of a division area having a part of the original image displayed corresponding to the enlarged image in the division area, and controls light emission luminance of the light emission means on the basis of the first feature amount after the correction processing according to each division area. |
