[Also in Group XXV] A two-part casing, e.g. for enclosing connectors of the kind described in Specification 886,251, comprises a rectangular first part 4, for example of nylon, having forwardly extending resilient arms 6 with enlarged heads 8 having tapered surfaces and shoulders 10 whereby on insertion of the part through a hole in a panel 32, Fig. 4, said heads hook over the edge of the hole. A second part 2 of the casing is then pushed over the first part between said part and the arms to lock the arms in engagement with the panel, the two parts being held together by detents 24, 26. Lateral wings 14 on the part 2 limit the forward movement of this part through the hole. Fig. 7 shows a two-part casing 2a, 4a of circular, but otherwise similar form which accommodates a single conductor. |
