<p>The present invention provides an apparatus and a method for operating a light lamp. The apparatus for operating a light lamp includes: a rectifying unit which performs full-wave rectification on an input voltage; a sensing unit which senses the input voltage rectified by the full-wave rectification; a power conversion unit which includes at least one switching device and converts the voltage rectified by the full-wave rectification into a voltage in a predetermined level according to the switching operation of the switching device to provide the converted voltage to a light emitting device; a compensation unit which generates a compensation voltage to compensate an output current on the light emitting device; a dimmer which controls a phase of the voltage input in the rectifier; a condition determination unit which determines a condition according to whether the voltage input in the rectifier is controlled or not to control an output current to the light emitting device; and a control part which controls the switching device based on the input voltage in the sensing unit or the compensation voltage in the compensation unit according to the condition of the condition determination unit.</p> |
