PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an article of footwear having an upper with a stretch function, in which cost is suppressed, in which designability is superior, and in which an effect of reducing discomfort and pain due to oppression on the projected parts of the foot is remarkably improved.SOLUTION: A shoe 1A comprises: an upper 2A which has a surface fabric 21 made of a non-elastic material and a backing fabric made of an elastic material; and a sole 3A to which the upper 2A is attached. On the surface fabric 21 of the upper, there is provided a stretch region 41 in which a large number of perforations 5a, 5b, 5c are made so that the region expands according to the projected parts of the foot. The large number of perforations of the stretch region 41 consist of three groups of perforations 5a, 5b, 5c which have different expanding directions in the periphery of the perforations respectively. These groups of perforations are geometrically arranged in the manner mixedly dispersed in the stretch region. |
