PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a switched reluctance motor capable of easily rotating a rotor in a reverse direction without generating vibration, noise and step-out.SOLUTION: The switched reluctance motor is formed from: a rotor 10 of a quadrupole structure; a stator 20 of a five-phase structure; five light-receiving bodies 30 connected to phases of the stator 20; five first light-emitting bodies 40 and second light-emitting bodies 50 for radiating light of the five light-receiving bodies 30, respectively; and a light-shielding plate 60 including four first light-translucent parts for making light of the first light-emitting bodies 40 translucent to the light-receiving body 30 and four second light-translucent parts for making light of the second light-emitting bodies 50 translucent to the light-receiving body 30. Between a terminal portion of the first light translucent parts in the light-shielding plate 60 and a terminal portion of the second light-translucent parts, four buffer light-shielding parts are provided at equal intervals. |
