A coating composition, a method for coating a surface of a material using the same, and surface treated materials having the same are provided. The coating composition comprises a nitrogen atom-containing organopolysiloxane represented by the average siloxane unit formula (1): (R1R2R3SiO1/2)a(SiR12O2/2)b(R2R3SiO2/2)c(R2R32SiO1/2)d (1) wherein R1 is a nitrogen-free, substituted or unsubstituted, monovalent organic group of 1 to 20 carbon atoms, R2 is a monovalent organic group containing at least one nitrogen atom, R3 is an organoxy group represented by—OR1,“a”is a positive number of 0.7 to 1.3;“b”is a positive number of 2 to 500;“c”is a positive number of 0 to 10;“d”is a positive number 0.7 to 1.3: and a+d is at least 2.
