<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide advanced features that may be inter-resource for interactive television applications, including a back feature, a forward feature, a history feature, a go to feature, an extra feature, a reminder feature, a favorite feature, a parental control feature, and a search feature.SOLUTION: Support for multiple data paths, Internet access, interactive services, and user profiles are also described. A method for providing inter-resource features in an interactive television program guide system, where the interactive television program guide is implemented on a user television apparatus and supports supported application running on the user television apparatus: receives with the interactive television program guide a first indication to perform an inter-resource feature for a first resource of a first type; provides with the interactive television program guide the inter-resource feature for the first resource; receives a second indication to perform the inter-resource feature for a second resource of a second type, which is different from the first type; and provides the inter-resource feature for the second resource.</p> |
