The storage cell (1) has terminal electrodes (3, 4) attached to a closed housing (2), and a measuring unit (5) provided within the housing for measuring an operational parameter of the storage cell. The measuring unit transmits measurement data regarding the measured operational parameters to a RFID-receiver for evaluation of the measurement data, where the receiver is arranged outside of the housing. The measurement unit has a RFID transmitter for transmitting the measurement data to the receiver wirelessly by radio. An independent claim is also included for an energy storage comprising energy storage cells and a RFID receiver.
