<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology that may be a deterrent against a deed of diverting a thieved lighting device to other vehicle.SOLUTION: A lighting device 5 to be installed in a vehicle includes: a housing 51 that defines a lamp chamber 52; and a transparent cover 53. A first light source 54 is disposed in the lamp chamber 52. A control unit 57 controls at least a lighting or extinguishing action of the first light source. A control unit 57 stores vehicle information which is acquired from the vehicle, in a memory unit 58. The control unit 57 compares vehicle information which is newly acquired from the vehicle at a predetermined timing, with the vehicle information stored in the memory unit 58, and ceases at least part of functions thereof according to a difference between them.</p> |
