PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the amount of leaking oil by installing a movable seal plate, as a different body, which seals a leaking-out path of oil via a gap at a joint between partial rings of a split seal ring.SOLUTION: An electricity generator includes a casing in which a hydrogen gas is charged, a rotor fitted in the casing, a rotary shaft connected to the rotor and projecting to outside the casing, and a shaft sealing device which stops a gas from moving from inside to outside the casing in a region where the rotary shaft projects from the housing to outside, and the shaft sealing device includes a seal case connected to oil supply means of supplying high-pressure sealing oil, a split seal ring comprising a plurality of partial rings divided in a circumferential direction, and a movable seal plate which straddles a joint between two adjacent partial rings and slides on both the partial rings. |
