Class 131 A dry shaver head comprises an apertured screening foil 2 and a cutter foil 3 moved relatively to the inner surface of the screening foil by a carrier 4 which has a curved bearing surface for the cutter foil. The foil 2 is clamped in a double base plate 1 and the cutter foil 3 is fastened at 5, 6 to the carrier so as to be spaced therefrom at 19 and to bear against the part 20 of the screening foil. The application of shaving pressure 21 as shown in Fig. 2 deforms the foils utilising the spaces 17, 18 and providing cutting co-operation over the region 22, 23 without the provision of elastic support for the carrier. The carrier is preferably of polystyrene and has ribs between which are engaged locating projections from the apertured cutting foil, which has transverse bands of inclined cutting webs 24, holes 27, 28 for cutting long hair, and fixing apertures 29, 30. |
