The multi-turn angle measuring device has a dimensional scale (14) mounted on an input shaft (12) in a rotationally fixed manner. A coupling element (38) is adapted to bring a multi-turn stage (20,22) when switching on a multi-turn angle measuring device (10) out of a gear engagement. The coupling element is adapted to bring the multi-turn stage when switching off the multi-turn angle measuring device out of the gear engagement by the input shaft. An independent claim is also included for a method for measurement of angular position and rotation number of an input shaft. |
