PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a controller capable of preventing performance degradation of a device.SOLUTION: A method of controlling a controller 20 that is a software module interposed between an application program 10 and a device driver 30 includes: a processing request reception step S01 for receiving a processing request from the application program 10; a processing request transmission step S03 for transmitting the received processing request to the device driver 30; an asynchronous setting request step S04 for transmitting, if processing of the processing request is specific processing, a request to make an asynchronous setting to the processing immediately after the processing request transmission step S03; a first processing result reception step S08 for receiving from the device driver 30, a first processing result indicating that the reception of the processing request is complete for the processing to which the asynchronous setting is made. |
