摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a structure of a combustion amount adjustment mechanism for detecting an indoor temperature increase and automatically reducing a combustion amount.SOLUTION: This petroleum combustion machine comprises a thermistor 2 in which a wick vertical shaft 1 is rotated to enable a wick height to be changed in a range from maximum combustion to minimum combustion to detect a room temperature, a driving plate 5 having the wick vertical shaft 1 as its center of rotation, a motor 6 for driving the driving plate 5, an engagement part 7 for interlocking the wick vertical shaft 1 and the driving plate 5, and a switch 8 operated when the wick vertical shaft 1 is rotated up to a minimum combustion position. When the thermistor 2 detects a prescribed temperature or higher, a rotating signal for the motor 6 is outputted, and the driving plate 5 rotates the wick vertical shaft 1 in a wick descending direction through the engagement part 7. When the switch 8 is operated, the motor 6 stops and the wick height is changed to the minimum combustion position. There is provided lock detecting means 9 for detecting a locked state of the motor 6. As a prescribed time elapses from energization of the motor 6, an inverse rotational signal of the motor 6 is outputted to return back the driving plate 5 to its initial setting position A, and then the rotational signal is outputted again so that this operation is repeated until the switch 8 is operated.
