PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic card reader/writer which reduces the time required for processing with a host device, and prevents reduction in read reliability in reading the same dama recorded in a plurality of recording areas formed in a magnetic card.SOLUTION: A read control part 94 causes a magnetic head 6 to read data from a plurality of recording areas 22, 23 on a magnetic stripe 21 formed in a magnetic card 20. Determination means 913 determines whether there is error data read by the read control part 94 for each of the recording areas 22, 23. When the determination means 913 determines error data in any of the recording areas 22, 23, a write control part 95 writes non-error data to the recording area including the error data by the magnetic head 6. |
