PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To compensate both variation in threshold voltage and variation in mobility, of a driving element, in a current driven display device.SOLUTION: Switching TFTs 111, 112 are controlled so as to be in a conductive state, and a switching TFT 113 is controlled so as to be in a non-conductive state, and electric potential (VDD+Vth) depending on threshold voltage is applied to a gate terminal of a driving TFT 110. Subsequently, with the TFT 112 being kept in the conductive state, electric potential of a data line Sj is changed from reference potential Vpc to data potential Vdata, and the TFT 110 is made to be in the conductive state. At this time, a current Ia flows, and gate terminal potential of the TFT 110 increases. The larger mobility of the TFT 110 is, the larger an amount of change of the gate terminal potential becomes, and the smaller a current flowing in an organic EL element 130 when emitting light becomes. Thus, the current which is not affected by variation in the threshold voltage and variation in the mobility of the TFT 110 is made to flow in the organic EL element 130.
|
