A method for providing a recipient with an interactive image before a call connection and a mobile phone using the same are provided. A method for providing an originator with (II) according to an embodiment of the present invention displays (II) defined by the originator before a call connection when a request for a call is received from the originator. Thus, (II) defined by the originator can be provided through a phone screen of a recipient before a call connection with the originator to effectively deliver information from an originator point of view, and to selectively obtain desired information in abundance and depth from a recipient point of view, thereby being beneficial to both the originator and recipient.
