PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method that obtains, in a high yield, an equol-containing composition having a higher content than conventional methods.SOLUTION: A method of obtaining, in a high yield, an equol-containing composition having a high content of equol is developed, in which equol in a cultured material of equol producing microorganisms is adsorbed to a styrene-divinylbenzene-based adsorbing resin, and equol is being eluted by using lower alcohol having various concentrations. By the method, separation of equol from other water-soluble substances (including other isoflavone aglycones) can be easily processed. |
