The purpose of the present invention is to provide a wireless communication terminal and a communication method using the same, which are capable of improving the battery life by reducing the power consumption of the battery in the wireless communication terminal. To achieve the above purpose, the present invention provides a wireless communication terminal with a dual receiver. The wireless communication terminal includes: a central processing unit; a data transceiving unit which transmits data to the other terminal and receives data therefrom through a first channel under the control of the central processing unit; and a carrier data identifying unit which processes carrier data received through a second channel and, when a specific carrier data is identified, converts the central processing unit into an operation mode, wherein the central processing unit converted into the operation mode transmits data to the other terminal and receives data therefrom, using the data transceiving unit. According to the present invention, the wireless communication terminal and the communication method using the same can improve the battery life by reducing the power used when the wireless communication terminal using the battery with limited power as a primary power source waits to perform a receiving operation relative to the other terminal. |
