According to an embodiment, a storage device is applied to a distributed database. The storage device comprises a communication means, and a backup means. When the communication means receives a data backup instruction of the distributed database, the backup means backs up, in the storage device, partitioning information which denotes a positioning of each partition which is created which segments the overall distributed database into storage regions, and data which is stored for the distributed database. |
