The purpose of the present invention is to improve waving of a sheet that occurs when width-direction edges of the sheet stretch more in a transport direction as compared with a center part of the sheet. On a downstream side in the transport direction with respect to a fixing section where a toner image is heated and fixed on a sheet, there is provided a tension imparting device that includes a plurality of roller pairs provided at intervals in the transport direction, so that the roller pairs hold the sheet therebetween and transport the same, imparting tension in the transport direction to a center part of the sheet, the center part being in an area of the center in the width direction, which is orthogonal to the transport direction. |
