The present invention addresses the problem of providing a coated printing paper which is for use in an industrial inkjet printing machine and which combines printability for a conventional printing machine such as an offset press and printability that can accommodate the printing speed of an industrial inkjet printing machine. The present invention provides a coated printing paper for an industrial inkjet printing machine, said coated printing paper comprising: a base paper that contains a boric acid or a boric acid salt as an essential component; and a coating layer that lies on the base paper and that contains, as essential components, both a polyvinyl alcohol and heavy calcium carbonate having a mean particle diameter of 0.1 to 0.28μm.
