<p>A cementitious mixture is obtained by mixing powdered slate with 1-15% of a pozzuolana, with 1-15%, relative to the slate and pozzuolana, of a fibrous hydrated magnesium silicate and with finely divided concentrated hydrochloric acid, followed by the addition of 20-50% of a setting material, and thereafter a further quantity of finely divided acid the total weight of acid not exceeding 12% of the final mixture. Long lists are given of suitable pozzuolanas and setting material. Coarse slate may be used as an aggregate in the mix.</p> |
