PROCESS FOR MAKING BIPOLAR PLATES WITH INCLUDED LIQUID-TYPE COOLING SYSTEM FOR PEM FUEL CELL ASSEMBLIES

The invention relates to a process for making bipolar plates of graphitic materials with included liquid-type cooling circuit fitting out fuel cell assemblies with proton exchange polymeric membranes - PEM. According to the invention, the process consists in attaching two semi-plates (1, 2), having some profiled channels (4, 5, 8) on some upper attachment surfaces (12, 13), using a graphite cement (3) which is applied in a controlled coating and, after the application of a heat treatment and of some compression forces, the graphite cement (3) achieves the designed plate configuration with included cooling system.
