Provided is an optical film capable of having great durability and decreasing perviousness to water vapor. The optical film contains a thermoplastic resin. The perviousness to water vapor of the optical film is less than and equal to 90 g/m^2/day and the modulus of any of a return direction of the optical film by drawing or a wide direction is more than and equal to 1.5 times of the modulus without drawing. Additionally, the perviousness to water vapor of the optical film after drawing is less than and equal to 0.9 times of before drawing. (wherein the perviousness to water vapor, in the method of JIS Z 0208, is a value of after 24 hours at 40 °C and 90% of relative humidity.). |
