The present invention relates to the technical field of the Internet. Disclosed are a packet transmission method and apparatus, and a server. The method comprises: receiving at least one first IPv4 packet sent by at least one user equipment, each of the first IPv4 packets carrying an IPv4 address and a source port allocated for each of the user equipments; determining an output port corresponding to the source port of each of the first IPv4 packets according to a correspondence between source ports of IPv4 packets and output ports of IPv6 packets; updating the source port of each of the first IPv4 packets into a corresponding output port, and converting the IPv4 address carried in each of the first IPv4 packets into a same target global unicast IPv6 address according to a set algorithm, so as to obtain a first IPv6 packet corresponding to each of the first IPv4 packets; and transmitting each of the first IPv6 packets with an IPv6 network through the output port of each of the first IPv6 packets. In the present invention, by converting an IPv4 address carried in a received first IPv4 packet into a same target IPv6 address, resource consumption during packet transmission is reduced, thereby improving the packet transmission efficiency. |
