According to the invention the anodizing device has a covering unit (38; 40; 42; 44; 46) provided for controlling a spatial distribution of an anodizing current, which covering unit is arranged continuously at least in some sections in the extension direction (24) and between the internal electrode (26; 28; 30; 32) and the at least one internal surface element (22) in the radial direction in the operating state.
