The present invention relates to a method for treating the surface of a phosphate-coated member. The method comprises: (a) a step of forming a phosphate-coated base containing iron, steel, and ferroalloy; (b) a step of treating the member using a solution which contains a specific tin salt, used for a period from a few seconds to a few minutes at the temperature between the room temperature and the boiling temperature of the solution, and a soluble tin salt contained according to the characteristics and corrosion resistance of a basic phosphate coating layer; (c) a step of improving the corrosion resistance of the member and the saturation of the coating layer by adding a dye compatible with the tin salt and a soluble tin salt solution to a treatment tank or the solution or by adding a stabilizer or an inhibitor to a treatment solution; and (d) a step of rinsing and drying the member and selectively oiling and waxing the member when the member has color or does not have color after the previous treatment.
