PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrochemical device arranged so that the expansion of an electrochemical device container, the drop in electrostatic capacitance, and the rise in internal resistance after continuous charging can be suppressed efficiently without worsening an initial property.SOLUTION: An electrochemical device is e.g. an electric double layer capacitor which comprises an electrolytic solution including a nonaqueous solvent and an electrolyte.
