A hydraulic automatic tensioner for an auxiliary device is configured in such a manner that a sleeve fitting hole (3) is provided in the upper surface of the bottom of a cylinder (1) in which hydraulic oil is contained, the lower end of a sleeve (4) is press-fitted into the sleeve fitting hole (3), and the lower end of a rod (5) is inserted in a slidable manner into the sleeve (4) to form a pressure chamber (6) within the sleeve (4). The lower end surface of the sleeve (4) is brought into contact with the divided bottom surfaces (3a) of the sleeve fitting hole (3), and burrs formed when press-fitting the lower end of the sleeve (4) into the sleeve fitting hole (3) are gripped between the divided bottom surfaces (3a) of the sleeve fitting hole (3) and the lower end surface of the sleeve (4). As a result, the burrs are prevented from mixing into the hydraulic oil. |
