PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent deformation of a separation member and a support part thereof, to stably separate an image carrier from a developer carrier by use of the separation member.SOLUTION: A process cartridge detachable from a body of an image forming apparatus comprises a separation member, which is rotatably supported by an image carrier unit or a developing unit at one end of the process cartridge in an axial direction of an image carrier, and is held between the image carrier unit and the developing unit to separate the image carrier from the developer carrier. The separation member includes a first contact surface and a second contact surface to be brought into contact with the image carrier unit and the developing unit, respectively, when held between the image carrier unit and the developing unit. The first and second contact surfaces are located on the same straight line parallel to a rotation axial line of the separation member. |
