PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an edge light surface light emission device in which a luminous flux quantity of light exit from respective surfaces of a light guide plate is substantially equal.SOLUTION: An edge light surface light emission device 1 includes at least a resin light guide plate 2 having a rectangular shape in plan view; light sources 3A, 3B arranged along end faces 2A, 2B of the light guide plate 2; a housing body 4 that surrounds and supports a peripheral edge of the light guide plate 2 and the light sources 3A, 3B; and an irregular reflection layer 5 arranged on a surface 2W of the light guide plate 2, light of the light source entering from the end faces of the light guide and being reflected in the light guide plate to exit from both surfaces 2X, 2W of the light guide plate, where the irregular reflection layer 5 contains hollow particles. |
