<p>The method involves supplying a hollow glass portion (10,20,30) by using a conveyer (110) of an orientation and/or a positioning device. Software executed on a data processing system is detected for evaluating a camera image of hollow glass portion, such that orientation direction or actual position of hollow glass portion is changed into a desired orientation and/or target position. An image data of hollow glass portion received from a thermal image camera (130) is evaluated and processed, for detecting the orientation direction or actual position of hollow glass portion.
