Seed coating composition comprises at least one anti-static and/or electrically conductive and/or electrodissipative coating, and at least one metal-free electrically conductive additive. Independent claims are included for: (1) a seed in the form of seed grains, where the seed is equipped with the antistatic and/or electrically conductive and/or electrodissipative coating comprising the seed coating composition; and (2) producing the seed equipped with the coating, comprising fitting and/or coating the seed with the seed coating composition, where the coating is obtained by contacting, preferably applying and/or spraying the seed coating composition to the seed, followed by drying and/or curing the seed coating composition.
