METHOD OF REMOVAL OF ZINC FROM WATER BY ELECTRODIALYSIS

The invention relates to electrochemical treatment of water, in particular to ion exchange electrodialysis. A method consists in supply of water into desalination chambers filled with granules of cation-modified high-basic polyelectrolyte in the amount of 8-10 mg/g of cation exchanger, followed by filtration of the dialysate. Implementation of the method enhances the degree of purification of water from zinc by 54.9-56.6 %, reduces energy consumption by more than 2.7 kWh/m.
