ASSAYS USING SURFACE-ENHANCED RAMAN SPECTROSCOPY (SERS) ACTIVE PARTICLES

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that biological assays known in the technical field have limitations.SOLUTION: Diagnostic assays using surface enhanced Raman spectroscopy (SERS) active particles is disclosed. The diagnostic assays comprises: liquid-based assays; magnetic capture assays; microparticle-nanoparticle satellite structures for signal amplification in the assay; composite SERS active particles useful for enhanced detection of targets; and sample tubes and processes for using the same.
