WATER TREATMENT APPARATUS AND WATER TREATMENT METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water treatment apparatus and a water treatment method, using the adsorptivity of an adsorbent to a maximum extent for removing oil content from water to be treated such as waste water with the adsorbent.SOLUTION: The water treatment apparatus in an embodiment includes: an adsorbent reservoir for reserving an inorganic particle-containing adsorbent; a solid-liquid separation tank disposed downstream the adsorbent reservoir and having a filter with a horizontal plane relative to the installation surface; and a reaction tank disposed downstream the solid-liquid separation tank and allowing the oil content in water to be treated to be contacted with and adsorbed to the adsorbent for removal. The apparatus further includes: an adsorbent supply line which supplies the adsorbent to the solid-liquid separation tank from the adsorbent reservoir so as to form an adsorbent layer on the filter; a water to be treated circulating line for supplying water to be treated including a used adsorbent to the adsorbent layer from the reaction tank; and a used adsorbent supply line for supplying washing water to the adsorbent layer of the solid-liquid separation tank so as to supply the used adsorbent attached to the adsorbent layer into the reaction tank.
