Disclosed are a method, radio network controller (RNC), base station, user equipment (UE), and system for indicating the state of a pilot frequency. The method comprises: the RNC receives state information of a scheduled non-precoded pilot frequency transmitted by the base station, where the state information of the scheduled non-precoded pilot frequency indicates an activated state or deactivated state of the scheduled non-precoded pilot frequency; the RNC transmits to the UE a 4-transmission MIMO mode configuration signaling, where the configuration signaling carries the state information of the scheduled non-precoded pilot frequency, thus allowing the UE, when configured into a 4-transmission MIMO mode, to acquire the state of the scheduled non-precoded pilot frequency on the basis of the state information of the scheduled non-precoded pilot frequency. The method, RNC, base station, UE, and system of embodiments of the present invention for indicating the state of the pilot frequency allow for reduced physical layer signaling overhead, and for reduced latency for the UE to acquire the state of the scheduled non-precoded pilot frequency in the 4-transmission MIMO mode. |
