PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily confirm whether discharging of cuttings is performed or not by only adding a little change to a conventional configuration of a core drill, in a dry type core drill in which the cuttings are sucked into a core bit during boring and are collected by a dust collector through a swivel joint. SOLUTION: The core drill includes: a core bit 13; a shaft 9 on which the core bit 13 is removably mounted and which is rotatably driven by a motor and is equipped with a hollow part 18; and the swivel joint 8 freely rotatably pivoting the shaft 9, and constituted of a dust collecting ring 17 forming an annular recessed position 15 around the shaft and an opening 19 formed in the shaft 9 and making the recessed position 15 communicate with the hollow part 18. In the swivel joint 8, on the core drill connected with a hose 14 of the dust collecting machine, the dust collecting ring 17 is formed of a polycarbonate and is coated with a surfactant to prevent the cuttings from sticking on the surface, thus enabling to confirm the flow of the cuttings during boring.
