A side camera system for a vehicle and a control method for the same are provided. According to an embodiment of the present invention, the side camera system for a vehicle controls the photographing direction and angle of left and right side cameras mounted on the left and right side mirrors of a vehicle based on the driving information of the vehicle. Therefore, the present invention enables a driver to conveniently and safely drive a vehicle and eliminates a blind spot caused by a pillar while the driver drives the vehicle to rotate.
