The present invention relates to an electrode lead having a welding strength and a secondary battery including the electrode lead. More particularly, the present invention relates to an electrode lead comprising: an electrode assembly including a separator membrane interposed between a cathode current collector and an anode current collector; electrode tabs extending from the cathode current collector and the anode current collector to protrude to an outside, respectively; an electrode lead welded with the electrode tab to be electrically connected to each other. A portion of the electrode lead corresponding to a position, to which the electrode tab is welded, is embossed. According to the present invention, the embossed electrode lead is welded to the electrode tab, so that the welding strength of the embossed electrode and the electrode tab can be improved and the dispersion of the welding strength can be reduced. According to the second battery including the embossed electrode lead, due to the cutting between the electrode tab and the electrode lead, the problem of partially generating heat generation can be solved, so that the performance is prevented from being degraded. |
