<p>In order to provide a simple latch device and external parts for motorcycles equipped with the same that do not require other members to be combined separately for releasing or maintaining a locked state, by way of devising a novel mechanism for the structure of a latch body, which is a lock member, and a bracket member, which is a base member to which the latch body is attached, the latch device comprises the bracket member on the part to be applied and a latch body to be attached to the bracket member and is characterized in that the two are formed by assembling the latch body in a movable state to the bracket member by a slide pivot guide mechanism and a selector guide mechanism, and in that moving only the latch body opens and closes a striker accommodating portion formed on the bracket member, without using other members in the restricting or releasing of a lock striker held therein.</p> |
