An information storage medium to be used at a reproduction apparatus for reproducing multimedia data is provided. The information storage medium includes information indicating that at least one playlist is a progressive playlist, and progressive playlist description information including information necessary for downloading multimedia data to reproduce the at least one playlist. Further, a reproduction apparatus, a reproduction method, a recording apparatus, and a recording method are provided.
