The antenna (1) has multiple plate elements (2-1 to 2-n), which are arranged behind one another in a given orientation to an aperture surface (3) of the antenna. The aperture surface is formed by the plate elements. An aperture opening (4-1 to 4-n) is arranged in one of the plate elements on a side that forms the aperture surface. A waveguide opening (5-1 to 5-n) is arranged in one of the plate elements parallel to the aperture surface. One of the aperture openings and one of the waveguide openings are coupled with each other through a channel. An independent claim is included for a method for manufacturing an antenna.
